Turn on AI Agents in MPP Studio
- Open MPP Studio on the web and sign in.
- Open Settings › AI Agents and switch on Allow AI agents to connect. The first time, MPP Studio tells you what it means for encryption and asks you to agree.
- The status says Connected. Copy the address under Connect Your Agent:

The address is the same for everyone. It reaches nothing until you sign in to MPP Studio from your agent and allow it, and from then on it reaches only your plans.
Add MPP Studio to Claude
- In Claude (claude.ai or the Claude app), open Settings › Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
- Name it MPP Studio, and paste
https://api.mppstudio.com/mcpas the remote MCP server URL. Leave the advanced settings empty: Claude finds the sign-in by itself. Choose Add. - Choose Connect next to MPP Studio.
- MPP Studio opens and asks Allow Claude to Work on Your Plans? Sign in first if you need to, then choose Allow. You go back to Claude.
- In a chat, open the tools menu and check that MPP Studio is on.
In a Claude Team or Enterprise organisation, an owner adds the connector for everyone first, under the organisation’s connector settings; each person then connects it and allows it in MPP Studio. Custom connectors depend on your Claude plan: if you don’t see Add custom connector, check Anthropic’s help pages for your plan.
Claude Desktop and Claude Code on a Mac can also talk to the MCP server in the MPP Studio app on your Mac or iPad, over your own network, with nothing passing through our server. How that works
Ask Claude about your plan
Keep MPP Studio open in your browser with the plan you want to work on. Claude works on the plan open in MPP Studio, and only while the page is open. Then ask in plain words:
- “Which critical tasks finish in December, and who’s on them?”
- “Add three days of snagging after Decoration and link it to Handover.”
- “Joinery needs five more days. Update it and tell me the new handover date.”
While Claude works, MPP Studio’s title bar says Agent connected, and Agent editing as it changes the plan. Each change is one step in Undo, named “Agent: …”. On a locked plan Claude can record progress but can’t move the programme.
What passes through our server
Your plans are end-to-end encrypted. To work on a plan, your agent has to read it. While an agent is connected, the parts of your plans it reads and changes pass through MPP Studio’s server unencrypted on their way to the agent. We don’t store or log them. Your agent’s provider receives them too, under its own terms. Closing MPP Studio or turning AI Agents off ends it.

Stop it, or remove it
- For now: close MPP Studio, or click Agent connected in the title bar and choose Turn Off AI Agents. Claude then hears that MPP Studio isn’t open.
- For good: in MPP Studio, open Settings › AI Agents and choose Remove next to Claude under Allowed Agents. That signs it out. You can also remove the connector in Claude’s Settings › Connectors.

Do I need a token or an API key?
No. Claude signs in to MPP Studio with OAuth: you sign in and choose Allow once. Nothing to copy but the address.
Why does Claude say MPP Studio isn’t open?
Claude reaches MPP Studio only while it is open in your browser with AI Agents on. Open app.mppstudio.com, open a plan, and ask again.
Which plan does Claude work on?
The one open in MPP Studio. Open another plan and Claude works on that one.
Which MPP Studio plan do I need?
