Turn on AI Agents in MPP Studio
- Open MPP Studio on the web and sign in.
- Open Settings › AI Agents and switch on Allow AI agents to connect. The first time, MPP Studio tells you what it means for encryption and asks you to agree.
- The status says Connected. Copy the address under Connect Your Agent:
https://api.mppstudio.com/mcp.
The address is the same for everyone. It reaches nothing until you sign in to MPP Studio from your agent and allow it, and from then on it reaches only your plans.
Add MPP Studio to ChatGPT
- In ChatGPT, open Plugins in the sidebar, then choose Add › Add custom MCP server.
- Fill in the form:
- Name: MPP Studio
- Icon (optional): the MPP Studio mark
- Connection: Server URL,
https://api.mppstudio.com/mcp - Authentication: OAuth. ChatGPT finds the rest by itself; leave Advanced OAuth settings as they are.
- Read ChatGPT’s note about custom MCP servers, tick I understand and want to continue, and choose Create as a plugin.
- ChatGPT asks to connect: choose Connect MPP Studio.
- MPP Studio opens and asks Allow ChatGPT to Work on Your Plans? Sign in first if you need to, then choose Allow. You go back to ChatGPT, and MPP Studio is ready to use.
Custom MCP servers depend on your ChatGPT plan and, in a workspace, on what its admin allows. If you don’t see Add custom MCP server, check OpenAI’s help pages for your plan or ask your admin.
Ask ChatGPT about your plan
Keep MPP Studio open in your browser with the plan you want to work on. ChatGPT works on the plan open in MPP Studio, and only while the page is open. Then ask in plain words:
- “Which critical tasks finish in December, and who’s on them?”
- “Add three days of snagging after Decoration and link it to Handover.”
- “Joinery needs five more days. Update it and tell me the new handover date.”
While ChatGPT works, MPP Studio’s title bar says Agent connected, and Agent editing as it changes the plan. Each change is one step in Undo, named “Agent: …”. On a locked plan ChatGPT can record progress but can’t move the programme.
What passes through our server
Your plans are end-to-end encrypted. To work on a plan, your agent has to read it. While an agent is connected, the parts of your plans it reads and changes pass through MPP Studio’s server unencrypted on their way to the agent. We don’t store or log them. Your agent’s provider receives them too, under its own terms. Closing MPP Studio or turning AI Agents off ends it.

Stop it, or remove it
- For now: close MPP Studio, or click Agent connected in the title bar and choose Turn Off AI Agents. ChatGPT then hears that MPP Studio isn’t open.
- For good: in MPP Studio, open Settings › AI Agents and choose Remove next to ChatGPT under Allowed Agents. That signs it out. You can also remove the connector in ChatGPT’s Plugins page.

Do I need a token or an API key?
No. ChatGPT signs in to MPP Studio with OAuth: you sign in and choose Allow once. Nothing to copy but the address.
Why does ChatGPT say MPP Studio isn’t open?
ChatGPT reaches MPP Studio only while it is open in your browser with AI Agents on. Open app.mppstudio.com, open a plan, and ask again.
Which plan does ChatGPT work on?
